Industry Elite Division is Windsor’s first commercial-styled competitive team, that provides dancers with the opportunity to further learn, grow and evolve in a pre-professional setting. Differentiating ourselves from others, our elite company strives to create a new meaning to the term “competitive dance” by changing up the idea of a traditional competitive dance team.

Primarily focusing on hip-hop, jazz funk, and other commercial dance styles, our goal is to further train and prepare dancers for the professional dance industry by instilling hard-working values and promoting body positivity, self confidence, poise, and discipline not only in studio but outside the studio as well. Dancers will have the opportunity to train in the classic styles such as jazz, ballet, contemporary, and hip-hop as well as commercial dance styles such as jazz funk, heels, popping & locking, old school, and commercial hip-hop.

Elite company members will also have the opportunity to learn, develop and further their performance skills by showcasing their talents and performing before live audiences both in a competitive and non-competitive setting. Elite company performance opportunities will be provided throughout competitions, community/charity shows, music videos, concept videos, and more.

We strongly promote and emphasize the importance of a positive and encouraging learning environment, ensuring all of our dancers feel welcome and safe every time they walk through our doors. Industry Dance Co welcomes serious dancers of all backgrounds, body types, and ethnicities, to share their love and passion for dance in this unique, non-traditional competitive dance setting.

COMPETITIVE TRAINING INFORMATION

Preparing dancers for the industry has always been our number one goal, which is why Industry Dance Co. has developed a commercial focused competitive dance program that not only evolves dancers training, but further prepares them for a future and career in dance.

Elite Division members are required to train in both commercial and classical dance styles, as we strongly believe classical dance styles help instill discipline, hard working values and technique needed to flourish in all other styles of dance. Versatility is an incredibly important quality and key component of our competitive program, as dancers working towards a future or career in commercial dance must be able to adapt and tackle a wide variety of gigs. By training dancers in both commercial and classical styles, it provides dancers with the opportunity to continuously evolve, grow and become more versatile, well rounded dancers.

Dancers will be required to train in Hip-Hop, Popping & Locking, Jazz Funk, Ballet, Jazz,  Heels (Ages 16+ only) Stretch & Strengthen, Competitive Technique and optional classes such as Breakdancing and Contemporary. Number of training hours will vary.
